| Kara at 3. Her mom thought this was a good idea. Clearly she was wrong. |
According to her second grade report card, Kara "likes to talk. A lot."
Which makes sense that she'd take to a blog, where she covers everything from the banal things she notices in life to detailed hotel reviews. Turns out not much has changed over the years. On her yearly performance reviews, there's usually some comment pertaining to a fondness for speech.
Her snarkiness evolved over my high school years, then perfected in college (credited in part to the dry British wit). She parlayed that into a public speaking consultant gig when she's not writing user experiences for one of the best software companies in the world.
Three cancer debacles aside, Kara considers her life pretty lucky. Some other cool things she's done:
- A bunch of entertainment and professional sports jobs (Oscars, Emmys, Super Bowl XXXVII Halftime Show & Host Committee, FIFA Women's World Cup, US Soccer, Live 8)
- Lived in 3 countries (America, Australia, and England) and traveled to 18 others
- Lived in 5 states (New Jersey, Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, California)
- Studied one year at University of Gloucestershire in England
- Met a guy on a plane on New Year's Eve, then married him 5 years later
