So yeah, I get home from work today and there's a letter with big smackin' OFFICE OF THE THE GOVERNOR OF ALASKA. Swear to God. Turns out I must be on a mailing list for cruises or something... (the drawing is courtesy of my husband).

No Day But Today - Well, Actually, 4 Days in September (Rent)

Rent closed Sunday, but somebody smart filmed the actually Broadway version (not the movie that came out in theatres, but the actually White Way on a stage musical).

There's a limited 4 day engagement (Wed. Sept. 24-Sun. Sept. 28), so catch it while you can! We're going September 24th, 7 p.m., Pacific Standard Time.

I blogged about its closing back in January when I first heard the news, but my husband wins the prize for funniest reaction to being told Rent was going to be on Broadway no more:

"I guess that's One Hundred Fifty One Thousand Two Hundred Minutes 'til closing."

*giggle*

New California Personalized Plates

After spending way too many minutes of my life wracking my brain over a suitable personalized license plate, here it is:

The California DMV actually has a site where you can put in your personalization to see if it's already taken. Of course, all my first choices were - damn you, California, for having so many people!

I'll take a proper picture once I get the plates!  :-)
